General Description: A rather plain timber from a pale yellow to a light brown in colour. The grain is straight to irregular with a rather coarse texture.

Please note that for FD30 and FD60 doorsets the timber density must have a minimum density of 510kg/m3. It should be noted that some timbers such as Ash and Beech have high densities but are NOT suitable for an FD60 application. Get in touch further advice or samples. However, glazing beads should be manufactured from timbers that have a minimum density of 640kg/m3.
